that's right!
eat whatever you'd like to today...
because today is
International No Diet Day!
International No Diet Day, a celebration of body acceptance and body shape diversity.
The day is also dedicated to raising awareness to the dangers of restrictive diets.
A blue ribbon is it's symbol!
a British woman, Mary Evans Young
started this national, now international, holiday back in 1992
when she started a campaign against the diet industry.
Since 1992, the INDD(Intternational No Diet Day) movement has spread to other countries around the globe...
USA, Australia, New Zealand, India, Israel, & Denmark.
too bad that this day comes the day after Cinco de Mayo,
but this may be a good thing...
since it is believed by many, including me, that greasy foods (hamburgers and french fries)
are the best cure for a hangover!
But hey, it's a 'holiday'- so celebrate!
And I'll definitely be celebrating this one...
any excuse to have fattening food and sweets is a holiday I like!
